Ocenaudio is a cross-platform, easy to use, fast and functional audio editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. Update: In WineBottle give the Identifier a name like com.pg.powertracks as it goes in User/Application Support/com.pg.powertracks. To get your BB track into PowerTracks Export then then give the a simple name like Drums, Fiddle etc.
Another major factor is that it’s an open-source program with lots of plugins. It’s compatible with almost every plugin available on the market. You can try out any tools with this one.It usually has one track type in it which you will not find in most DAWs. You can use audio, MIDI and mono audio data in a single track! That’s insane, right? You can also group up any types of audio data together, and that makes it easier to play them all together. You can even adjust them separately according to your need.Look at some of the features of REAPER given below, and you’ll know why it’s on this list.Features. Alternative 2: Ableton LiveAbleton Live is next on the list.
This digital audio workstation can create, produce and even perform music. It is different than most of the DAWs as you can also use it as a live performance instrument. You can also use it for looping, MIDI control with effects of your own! It’s a program that you should invest. Though What I thought was a drawback is that the interface looks like a bit scrambled.Like there are too many things in one place. But once you get the hang of it it’s going to be easy peasy for you. There are two types of view or arrangements in Ableton Live.
One is the vertically within the Session View, and another is in the Arrangement View. It also has a clip view where you can tune the clip properties according to your needs.Features. Alternative 3: CubaseCubase is one of the professional cutting edge technologies. It’s full of features, and they develop it with the suggestion of users! And this makes it different from the rest of them.It has three packages called Pro, Artist, and Element.
All three packages have a different level of functionality making them distinct from each other. There are some additional functions added in the latest version such as GUI changes, handy Lower Zone for easy feature access, changes in the plugin handling, changes and addition to Cubase’s on board plugin collection.Features. Alternative 5: FL StudioFL Studio is a digital audio workstation designed for both Windows and Mac. It has been on the market for more than 17 years! So, you know they have a long way.It has three types of editions named: Fruity, Producer, and Signature.
They are all similar but with a few tweaks. Producer and Signature seem to have more feature than Fruity. Well, professionals use the latter two.Fruity appears to be the basic one here with few tools of audio editing. Overall, It seems to come with great features that will take you to a whole new level. So, if creativity is your choice, then you should defiantly go for FL Studio.Features.

Works great on Mac, not so easy on Windows.
I cannot be too hard on this product, because money-wise, it really is amongst the cheapest brand name options out there and as such I think it is pretty good value. With that said, it does have a lot of finicky setup issues on Windows operating systems. If you get stuck, go to youtube and search for setup videos as they're very helpful. The device is not plug-n-play on Windows 7 (or at least not for me). There was a lot of troubleshooting and downloading drivers and changing settings to get this to work consistently without any latency issues, however once setup it is really quite good for the price. I have used it with Cubase, Guitar Rig and Transcribe and it has become my go-to practice tool. I no longer need to setup my entire amp and cabinet to practice. Instead, just plug in my bass and put on some headphones. On Mac, this item really is plug and play. Simply open garageband, create a blank file, then plug in the USB after garageband is open and waiting and it automatically sets up and plays immediately without latency issues. I use a MacBook Air running Mavericks OSX. There is some latency issues with Mac if you let the computer go to sleep and then resume, however it can be fixed by simply unplugging and re-plugging the USB interface. I'm sure there are some power savings settings or something that is responsible for this but I haven't bothered investigating as it really isn't that much of a problem. All in all, I can put my MacBook Air, headphones and this interface all in the pouch of my guitar case which makes it really handy and portable if I need to practice away from home, and that is pretty much thanks to the UCG102.

Amazing value
First off, if you're running Windows 7 and/or a 64-bit OS, you need to immediately go to Behringer's website and download the latest driver. I didn't do this, and was disappointed the first day, experiencing latency issues and poor sound quality. Getting the latest driver fixed all of this, no latency at all, and now I have to honestly say that this product is easy to use, and for $34 it is a great value. What you get, in addition to the interface, is Guitar Combos, a set of 3 separate applications each modeling a different amp. I'm gonna say that one is obviously supposed to be a Marshall 1959 'Plexi' (hard/classic rock), a Vox AC (pop, classic rock, alternative), and a Fender Twin (blues/country). Aside from metal, which you're not going to really get out of any of these 3 (maybe 80's hair metal from the Plexi), you can pretty much get any other tone you could want. I also used this with a demo version of Amplitube Metal, and it sounds great. I also will be using this device to record, however I'm just enjoying practicing with the amp modeling. I have successfully recorded a riff or two off the line-out of my amp onto Audacity, so I can attest that this does serve the recording purpose. As far as recording WITH the amp models, that might be tricky. Like someone else had mentioned, the easiest way may be to use the Guitar Combos' Tape Deck feature, that allows you to record your modeled guitar into a WAV file. You can play to a metronome or along with a track playing from another application as you record. Then you import that WAV file into Audacity and layer it that way.

Interesting piece
Very inexpensive part of equipment to use for your guitar or any instrument on your PC, I had a difficult time installing it due to driver did not want to get installed but somehow i managed to make it work. Make sure you check if the driver for this item is compatibile with your OS. Good buy.

The UCG102 simply works and works well.
The Behringer Guitar to USB interface was my choice instead of buying a guitar amp for home. I had recently refurbished my 2 electric guitars and had contemplated buying an amp. Shopping around I came across the UCG102 and decided to try it out before making a larger investment into amplification gear. It was a terrific decision. The UCG102 simply works and works well. Plug in, install drivers, launch either the bundled software or your own, and you're good to go! Very little if any latency and good sound. Admittedly, the bundled software took me about 30 minutes to install and set the audio drivers, but that's mostly because I use a 64-bit system and had to go online to find the drivers in Behringer's website (readily available). I am currently channeling the output through my headphones, but I assume that setting the output to the speakers will work just as well. Overall, great product, does what it claims and comes with all the software you need to get you playing your electric guitar on your PC.

I didn't buy this from Amazon but I did look at reviews here before I bought it. The software that comes with the actual unit is out of date for my computer (Windows 8.1) but I downloaded the necessary drivers from their website and it worked fine. The AC-Box combo software that came on the CD did not let me activate the code and I had to stay in the demo mode. I was able to get around this by downloading guitar rig 5 which is by Native Instruments as well and it has updated drivers which then allowed me to activate the code. That being said, I don't use it half as much as I use the guitar rig 5 software (which also has a free demo version which is great). It's certainly not 'plug and play' but you just need to go into your hardware and sound controls and delegate your sound output so it so it is matching what ever audio output you are using with the guitar link. Also, the latency was almost completely nullified by downloading ASIO4All for free (I think I got it from Cnet or something).

Good To play around with
OK so like the title says its fun to play around with nothing special about it just a guitar accessory. The software it comes with is just to get you to buy more in my opinion but it does have an amp emulator so that's cool. I didn't like the fact that i had to search high and low on Google to find the driver for windows 7 but it is there. The response time is good compared to a 1/4' to 3.5mm adapter i tried. All in all i'm happy that i purchased this so i can play around with different effects and amp emulations with out having to fork over hundreds of dollars.

Works like a charm!
This handy little device sets up in seconds and does exactly as advertised and does it well. I use it with TH2 Overloud and Amplitube 3 and have not had any issues whatsoever and the addition of a headphone jack is handy as well. If you are looking for an affordable device to plug your guitar into your PC this is ideal.

Doesn't work well with supplied softwre.
This review is a bit preliminary as I have only owned the thing for a few days. So far it seems to work pretty well with PG Music's Power Tracks Pro Audio 2015. It worked horribly with tremendous latency with the Audacity software that came with it or even when I downloaded it from the audacity site. Horrible latency issues with that. Audacity would not accept the ASIO drivers and the Behringer drivers didn't seem to work very well and didn't allow me to adjust latency very well. I bought mine from Sweetwater because they have excellent technical support, 30 day return policy, and a free two year extended warranty. I had them help me get the thing to link up with the Power Tracks Pro Audio program and they were extremely helpful with that. They actually logged into my computer remotely although I'm not sure the guy actually had to do very much and I think just restarting the program made everything linkup. At any rate I haven't had any problems with pops or clerics and the latency thing seems to be well taken care of. I will update this review later. It seems to work well and is very handy however I am only giving it a four out of five because the software that came with it sucked and was relatively hard to configure to a satisfactory state. The Native Instruments Combo Pack wouldn't register and I have an email into them but it hasn't even been a full day at. I will update that too. I have yet to try it with my iMac/Garage Band.

the unit works great with Garage Band on my MAC but not so much with the provided software.
If you plan to use it with Garage band then I would recommend it but if you are planing to use it with the software I wish you luck! Hopefully you will have a better experience.
